Surgery > Interspinous systems  > VIKING

  • VIKING is an interspinous lumbar dynamic system.

  • Its elasticity allows the transfer of loads throughout the column, preventing kinetic movements of the segment to which it is attached and serving as a damper.

  • This device can be implanted between the spinous apophysis of two adjacent vertebrae. Its constitution in PAEK guarantees a high biocompatibility.

Main features

  • Maximum compression of -2,5 mm;

  • Maximum flexibility, extension and lateral movement of 20 °;

  • High biocompatibility with cortical bone;

  • Reduced weight and stiffness similar to cortical bone.

The standard set of instruments is made up of a small number of parts allowing for safe and easy implantation of the device.
